Intermediate and Advanced Skiers
We will drive up Monday to Ashford, WA and check into our award-winning Dancing Bear Lodge with Hot Tub and Pool Table and Heat. We will ski either at the Tahoma Hut trail system or drive into Mt. Rainier and ski to Refection Lakes and Mazama Ridge. The Tahoma Huts has trails on the North side of Ashford and to the South side of Ashford giving us lots of trail selection. We will adjust our trail selection based on the weather and snow conditions and Park Road conditions. We will plan on shared meals and cooking duties during our stay.
This is all ungroomed skiing on roads or trails or backcountry. The house does have WiFi and phone service but no cell phone service within 20 miles. The house has 6 bedrooms and 3 baths and 4 King Beds so bring your spouse. Check in is 4 PM and Check out is 11 AM.
Trip limit: 10 participants including trip leader.
Cost: $240/member, per person. Includes 4 nights lodging.
Carpool miles: 280 miles roundtrip from Portland plus excursions to trailheads.
