Tilly Jane Summer Work Party

Join us and the all-volunteer, non-profit, Oregon Nordic Club, for our Summer Cabin Maintenance Work Party. As most of you know, there is ongoing annual maintenance to keep these cabins open and ready for the next high use Winter season.

How you can help:

No special skills are needed, just a willingness to come out and help. All volunteers will earn a free weekend stay at the A-Frame on a winter club/volunteer weekend. While the bulk of the work will be outside, please bring your masks for any interior projects.

  • When: July 10, 2021
  • Time: 9am-4pm
  • Where: Meet at the Tilly Jane Trail Head parking area (bottom of the hill), free parking is available here. The road will be open up to the campground as well.
  • Bring: work gloves, sturdy work boots, hard hat/bike helmet, eye protection, tree trimming tools/loppers, small tree trimming saws, chain saws, appropriate clothing based on the weather forecast, water, lunch, and any camping gear you may need if you plan to spend the night.
  • After-work beverages provided by our friends at: SOLERA BREWERY
  • Note: Both cabins will be open July 9th and 10th please bring your masks.

What we will be working on:

  • Tilly Jane Trail Maintenance: add trail markers and brush out the historic ski trail for improved winter use
  • Prepare for installation of a new A-Frame Wood Stove
  • General cleaning of both cabins
  • Bucking firewood and clearing debris near the cabins – bring your chainsaws
  • Other tasks as needed

Please share the word and gather your circle of family/friends to volunteer with us! Contact us at: reservations@tillyjanecabins.org if you’d like more information.

Updates: COVID-19

The A-Frame and Guard Station have remained open for overnight rentals with reduced reservation capacities and pricing. Please note when inquiring on Reservations.Gov, the reservation rules have been updated and are subject to change based on COVID-19, CDC guidelines, and Gov. Kate Brown’s opening requirements/updates.

We are still planning to hold the annual TJ Wood Haul on October 6th, please mark your calendars and plan on coming out to help then. More details will follow as we get closer to the event.

Thank You for your ongoing support and love for the cabin!
