Snow is a much-appreciated thing, especially when there seems to be a shortage. February’s Sunriver mid-week ski trip didn’t land on the most opportune dates for powder. But alas, snow was found upon our arrival! Well, at least enough to get in a few good days at the groomed ski areas: Meissner and Bachelor Nordic.
Seven ONC members shared a well-appointed cozy Sunriver home complete with hot tub for the duration, and it’s a gem that the ONC Overnight Trip Committee will want to keep on their list!
The wide-open sunny blue skies by day and the star-filled skies at night were well worth the price of admission. Days of ski activities were topped off with good food, good company, Winter Olympics viewings, and the extra special treat of a Chocolate Fest!
Thanks to all who signed up and entrusted me to be their leader: Ken and Nancy Barker, Elke Schoen, Dale Grealish, Ted Scheinman, Richard Crimi. I could not have had any better company to share yet another memorable ONC-sponsored experience!
