Ten adventurous skiers joined the early February trip this year, including one skier who traveled from New York City to ski with his sister-in-law. The snow was excellent and the weather was spring-like. Our group divided into sub-groups and wandered throughout the valley for three glorious days!
We skied the Methow Community Trails: Upper Valley Trails: Jacks Trail and River Run, Rendezvous Trails, as well as the Sun Mountain trail system—including the trek up Thompson Road, around Meadowlark and Blue Jay trails and then down from the top into the Valley via Power’s Plunge. After full days of skiing, our group gathered in the adjoining Cascade Condo Units for delicious potluck dinners and lively conversations.
