West Yellowstone, MT and Moose, WY
February 8-17, 2025, Sat – Mon
Intermediate – Advanced

If you always wanted to see and ski the Tetons Mountains in winter, this is your chance.  It is a jaw-dropping vista at sunrise with fresh snow on the ground that you have been wanting to see.  Come along and join us.

We will leave Portland on February 8 with an overnight stop in route and arrive at Henry’s Lake Eagle Lodge (VRBO) February 9 for a 3-night stay.  While approaching our first house I hope to stop and ski at Harriman S.P. a highly acclaimed XC ski stop. While visiting West Yellowstone I hope to ski at Riverside, Boundary and Rendezvous Trails.  Great groomed and ungroomed skiing for both skate and classic skiing.

We will then drive thru Jackson to Moose, the gateway to Teton National Park, where we have 2 double cabins at Dornan’s Spur Ranch for 5 nights and depart on February 17, 2025. We will plan on one day at the Turpin Meadow Ranch, Bradley and Taggart Lake, Teton Park Road to Jenny Lake and several other ski trails depending on snow conditions and desires. Dornan’s is so close to the park your car hardly gets to warm up!

Trail Passes will be on your own and I am planning on shared food with everyone splitting up the cooking. National Park Passes or Golden Age Passes are needed at Teton NP, but no trail fees in the park.

Skate skiing, groomed track and backcountry skiing available. There are several downhill areas if you can arrange it with others in our group to do the lifts.

A soak at the hot springs is possible if we make a reservation and have time. There is lots of wildlife to see in the refuge and around the park.

The skill level should be Intermediate and above and able to ski 10 miles each day.

Trip limit:  8 particpants/4 double beds
Cost:  $570 per person/$1140 per couple, plus trail fees, food costs, and lodging to/from
Travel miles:  1740 miles round trip, plus mileage to the ski areas
