This Wednesday, Andrew Black will lead a backcounty tour on Cooper Spur. Depending on snow conditions, the plan is to climb Polallie Ridge from the Tilly Jane SnoPark, and explore the trees and open slopes above Tilly Jane and Could Cap. Descent may be via the Tilly Jane Trail, or via Ghost Ridge and the Old Wagon Road.
This is an advanced tour. You will need either backcountry skis or telemark skis. In either case, you will need skins for the climb up, and Nordic downhill skills for the descent.
