Friday and Saturday night stay in the historic Tilly Jane A-Frame cabin. Park at the Tilly Jane Trailhead parking area. You’ll back country ski to the ONC-PDX managed shelter on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood, a 3 mile ski with a 1,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the cabin at 5,700 feet elevation. Experienced intermediate skiing skills with turning ability, good physical condition and navigation/route finding skills using map, compass or GPS. Climbing skins are REQUIRED.
Participants carry their own gear, including sleeping bags, sleeping pad, toilet paper, propane for lanterns, and food for all meals. Water is obtained from the Tilly Jane Creek or by melting snow.
