Friday and Saturday night stay in the historic Tilly Jane A-Frame cabin. You’ll back country ski to the ONC-PDX managed shelter on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood, a 3 mile ski with a 1,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the cabin at 5,700 feet elevation. Experienced intermediate skiing skills with turning ability, good physical condition and navigation/route finding skills using map, compass or GPS. Climbing skins are REQUIRED.

Participants carry their own gear, including sleeping bags, pad, toilet paper, and food for all meals. Water is obtained at the Tilly Jane Creek or by melting snow. We have a wood stove and pots heating water. Participants might also bring their own cooking stove and pots.

This is a cabin maintenance work weekend. Attendees will participate in completing minor cabin activities including checking smoke detectors & wood supply, making kindling, rodent control, cleaning the cabin and other repairs as identified.

Trip Limit: 20 people max, Open to all ONC members and 2022 Tilly Jane Volunteers
Cost: Free. Booking priority will be given to 2022 Tilly Jane VOLUNTEERS.  Available spaces will then be opened to ONC-PDX club members.
