Come ski mid-week in the Willamette Pass area, east of Eugene. We will be staying on the shores of Odell Lake in the spacious Kokanee Lodge at Shelter Cove resort. There are several areas to ski within the camp and 10 minutes away at Willamette Pass or trails off a forest service road.
Just doing the short trails/forest roads in the resort area is a nice easy way to do a quick after dinner or morning warm up ski. Last time we visited, the moon was full and fresh snow had fallen the day we arrived. (Past performance does not guarantee future results). Come enjoy the beautiful views from this lodge of the mountain and lake plus the peacefulness of skiing mid-week without the crowds.
We will potluck on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, with a chocolate fest on Wednesday night. Monday you can eat in on your own, or there are restaurants in Oakridge on your way, and a couple small country pubs within 10 miles of the resort. Bring your own breakfast, lunch foods and snacks. The kitchen comes equipped with most items and includes a microwave, but some supplies could be in short supply.
Trip limit: 12 participants, including the trip leader
Cost: $160 per person for 3 nights lodging. Not included are carpooling expenses or meals.
