WHERE: Walton Lake
Walton Sno-Park, Ochoco National Forest

The trails at Walton Lake in Ochoco National Forest, just east of Prineville, need your TLC for brushing, tree limbing, and marking trails.  Join us for this camping/trail tending adventure!  The area is famous for beautiful big pines and bands of roaming wild horses.  More details closer to the date.

Fun fact:  The photo of volunteers on the main website page is from a previous campout in the area.

What to bring:  Bring your camp gear and meals.  Bring a comfortable pair of gloves to protect your hands (gardening gloves work well).  Wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, hiking boots and protective eye wear.  Dress for the weather; it could be hot, cold, windy, rainy, or any and all in the same day.  Have bug repellent and sunscreen.  Don’t forget a small backpack with a lunches and snacks as you are sure to work up an appetite, and lots of water.
