Enjoy four full days of quiet winter fun (No snowmobiles) and 2 full days for a relaxing drive to and from the Methow Valley, WA.
Cross Country ski and Skate Ski on some of the best groomed trails in the Pacific Northwest. Spend days skiing over 200 km trails at Jack’s River Run, Mazama, The Big Valley, Winthrop area, Sun Mountain, and Rendezvous trailheads. Possibly take a rest day to snowshoe or rent a snowbike. Take a ski or skating lesson to improve your skills.

Ken will lead intermediate-leisurely cross country skiing most days, with a possible snowshoe tour if there’s interest.
We will be staying in 2 adjacent comfortable Condominiums within walking distance of stores and trails; Arctic Dream and Aurora Borealis. Couples will be sleeping in Queen beds and singles will be sleeping in twin beds. Relax in our condominiums as you enjoy this majestic setting. Enjoy the quaint town of Winthrop with its restaurants and shops.
We will potluck several of our meals as the ONC tradition and other meals will be on our own or enjoying many restaurants in Winthrop.
Leader Ken Barker has been an ONC member for more than 20 years and has guided many day and multi-day trips as both a volunteer and professional guide with NW Discoveries.
Trip limit: 12 particpants including trip leader and spouse
Cost: $335 per member plus trail passes and food
Travel miles: 800 miles round trip from Portland, plus mileage to the ski areas
