All Abilities on groomed and non-groomed trails
Let’s have a long weekend skiing, sampling the best that Eastern Oregon has to offer! We will ski at Salt Creek Summit (about 20 miles from Joseph) on moderate and easy rated ungroomed trails and the groomed trails of Horseshoe Prairie (about 15 miles from Elgin). There is plenty of skiing to keep us busy for three days. I have invited our ONC partners from Eagle Cap Nordic to join us to ski for a day.
We will carpool from Portland on Thursday, February 1, returning on Sunday, February 4, with a round-trip mileage of 700 miles, plus local driving. We may stop on the way to or from for skiing at the Blue Mountain Nordic Club maintained trails at Meacham Divide Nordic Ski Area for a short ski.
There will be room for two couples and four singles. Our house is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath custom log home. Cost per person is only $190 per person for three nights lodging.
Trip limit: 8 participants, including the trip leader
Cost: $190 per person for 3 nights lodging. Excludes cost of travel and meals.
Carpool miles: 700 miles round trip from Portland plus mileage to Sno-Parks
