We will not be working on the Crosstown Trail as originally planned. Instead, join us in the quiet woods of Mt. St. Helens. Meet at Jantzen Beach at the north end of the Target parking lot at 8 am sharp. We will work until about 2:30 pm with return to Portland about 5 pm.
Most trail tending work parties involve light brushing, tree limbing, and the hanging of blue diamonds. We’ll supply the tools and hardhats. Sign up below – select the number of spaces for all of the people in your party and provide their contact information where indicated.
What to bring: Bring a comfortable pair of gloves to protect your hands (gardening gloves work well). Wear long pants, a long sleeved shirt, hiking boots and protective eye wear. Dress for the weather; it could be hot, cold, windy, rainy, or any and all in the same day. Have bug repellent and sunscreen. Finally, bring small backpack with a lunch and snacks as you are sure to work up an appetite, and lots of water.
