All Abilities

Come experience the powder snow skiing that everyone talks about. You have choices of groomed trails (classic and skate) or lift skiing at Anthony Lakes (discounted on Thursday) or backcountry. This is your chance to ski great-quality snow! We will stay in La Grande, convenient to several of the best XC ski areas in NE Oregon. Enjoy meeting 20 to 30 other ONC skiers as you find skiers of similar skill ability.

For those that are interested, and if the snow is good, we will ski at Meacham Divide (~12 miles groomed) for a couple hours on the drive over. We will plan on skiing at Anthony Lakes for one to two days. The Nordic Center ($25 pass) (7,100 ft.) maintains 18 miles of groomed trails with every level of difficulty. You are also able to ski at the adjacent alpine ski area to practice your telemark. Other days we will have options to ski at Horseshoe Prairie Nordic Ski Area, 10 miles of XC skiing and snowshoeing on marked groomed and non-groomed trails, or Fergie Ridge in the Wallowas.

We will carpool over and split up the meal preparation for two ONC potluck dinners in their breakfast room (one includes pizza purchased with your registration fees). Everyone will be responsible for their own lunches.

We will be staying at the Best Western Plus Rama Inn & Suites in LaGrande, OR (included in costs). Our buffet breakfasts are included. We can socialize and play games in the breakfast room and lobby. Amenities include a hot tub, swimming pool, and fitness room. Bedrooms have 2 queens or a king with microwaves and refrigerators. IMPORTANT: Select 1 space to take 1 bed in a shared room or 2 spaces to reserve the whole room.
