On Wednesday 8th March, Russ Pascoe will lead a classic ski tours. From the Trillium Basin, we will ski the Still Creek Road from to Rhododendron, with a car shuttle to return to the Trillium SnoPark. How far is this? It depends on how much of the road has been plowed; we can park a shuttle car at the end of the plowing. My guess is about 13 miles, mostly downhill. If you sign up, be prepared to ski this distance.
At the end of the tour, most of the group will be left waiting where the shuttle car was parked, while the drivers go back to Trillium SnoPark to get the remaining vehicles. Be prepared by putting an extra down jacket, hot drinks and food in the shuttle car, so that you can keep warm and amused while you wait — the round trip back to Trillium is about an hour.
