Intermediate Back Country Ski

Friday and Saturday night stay in the historic Tilly Jane A-Frame cabin. We’ll back country ski to the ONC-PDX managed shelter on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood, a 3 mile ski with a 1,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the cabin at 5,700 feet elevation. Participants carry their own gear, including sleeping bags, pad, and food for all meals. We have a wood stove for cooking or heating water. Participants might also bring their own stove and cooking pots. Experienced intermediate skiing skills with turning ability, good physical condition and navigation/route finding skills using map, compass or GPS. Climbing skins are REQUIRED.

Trip Limit: 8 max, Open to all ONC members and Tilly Jane volunteers (reduced capacity due to COVID)
Cost: Free (another club benefit). Booking priority will be given to Tilly Jane VOLUNTEERS.  Left over spaces will then be opened to club members.
