We have made a change in the annua l San Juan Bike Trip this year! Instead of fighting the crowds in the San Juan Islands for the July 4 holiday\, the famous July 4th bike trip is goi ng to Victoria\, Canada! Plans are to drive to Port Angeles on Saturday\, June 30\, take the 12:15 PM (or 5:20 PM) ferry to Victoria with only our b icycles. After we check in at our rooms at the University of Victoria in V ictoria (in twin bed rooms)\, we will ride to enjoy Canada Day with firewo rks later that night. For the next three days\, we will ride bicycles on V ancouver Island – The Galloping Goose Trail\, the Lochside Trail\, the I nterurban Rail Trail\, and more. Then we will take the 10:30 AM ferry back to Port Angeles and drive to back to Portland to watch the Waterfront Blu es Festival and watch US fireworks at dark.
