SUMMARY:Vancouver Island Bike Trip 2024
DESCRIPTION:The famous July 4th bike trip returns to Victoria\, Canada!\nPl
 ans are to drive to Port Angeles on Wednesday\, July 3\, take the 12:15pm 
 (or 5:20pm) ferry to Victoria with only our bicycles (current valid passpo
 rt required for entry to/from Canada). We will check in at our rooms at th
 e University of Victoria in Victoria (in single-bed rooms in suites with b
 athrooms and kitchens).&nbsp\;\n\nFor the next three days\, we will ride b
 icycles on Vancouver Island – The Galloping Goose Trail\, the Lochside T
 rail\, the Interurban Rail Trail\, and possibly more. Then we will take th
 e 10:30am ferry back to Port Angeles on July 7 and drive back to Portland\
 , missing all the holiday traffic! The cost for lodging is estimated to be
  only $360 per person — a real bargain for Victoria! We plan to have at 
 least one potluck dinner – perhaps more.&nbsp\;\n\nYou can sign up below

 ns or eaten out in restaurants.&nbsp\; Ferry costs (passenger &amp\; bike 
 cost of $28 each way) are not included in costs.\nCarpool miles: From Port
 land\, approximately 360 miles. Costs for carpooling are not included in c
 osts above.&nbsp\; We will leave our cars at Bob Vreeland’s house in Por
