SUMMARY:Tilly Jane Guard Station\, Mt Hood\, OR
DESCRIPTION:Intermediate Backcountry Ski\n\nFriday and Saturday night stay 
 in the historic Tilly Jane Guard Station. We’ll backcountry ski to the O
 NC-PDX managed cabin on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood\, a 3 mile ski with
  a 1\,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the cabin at 5\,700 fee
 t elevation. Participants carry their own gear\, including sleeping bags a
 nd food for all meals. There is no running water in the cabin\, melt snow 
 or fetch water from TJ Creek for drinking and dishes. We recommend all wat
 er be treated for drinking. There are sleeping pads at the cabin (you migh
 t bring a cover as they are foam and can be dirty).&nbsp\; We have a propa
 ne stove and oven for cooking meals and heating water. There are cooking p
 ots and pans\, cups\, plates and flatware at the cabin. There is a pit toi
 let and TP is provided.\n\nExperienced intermediate skiing skills with tur
 ning ability\, good physical condition and navigation/route finding skills
  using map\, compass or GPS. Climbing skins are REQUIRED.\n\nTrip Limit: 4
  max\, Open to ONC members only with preference given to Tilly Jane volunt
 eers (Reduced Capacity due to COVID)\nCost: Free (another club benefit). Y
