DESCRIPTION:Jan 8-10\, Fri-SunIntermediate Backcountry SkiWe’ll backcount
 ry ski to the ONC-PDX managed shelter on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood\, 
 a 3 mile ski with a 1\,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the ca
 bin at 5\,700 feet elevation. Participants carry their own gear\, includin
 g sleeping bags\, pad\, and food for all meals. We have a wood stove for c
 ooking meals or heating water. Participants can also bring their own stove
  and cooking pots. Experienced intermediate skiing skills with turning abi
 lity\, good physical condition and navigation/route finding skills using m
 ap\, compass or GPS. Climbing skins are required.Trip Limit: 20 max\, Open
