Hood\, OR DESCRIPTION:Intermediate Back Country Ski\n\nFriday and Saturday night stay in the historic Tilly Jane A-Frame cabin. We’ll back country ski to the ONC-PDX managed shelter on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood\, a 3 mile ski with a 1\,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the cabin at 5\,700 feet elevation. Participants carry their own gear\, including sleeping ba gs\, pad\, and food for all meals. We have a wood stove for cooking or hea ting water. Participants might also bring their own stove and cooking pots . Experienced intermediate skiing skills with turning ability\, good physi cal condition and navigation/route finding skills using map\, compass or G PS. Climbing skins are REQUIRED.\n\nTrip Limit: 8 max\, Open to all ONC me mbers and Tilly Jane volunteers (reduced capacity due to COVID)\nCost: Fre e (another club benefit).
