Hood\, OR DESCRIPTION:Intermediate Back Country Ski\n\nWe’ll back country ski to th e ONC-PDX managed shelter on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood\, a 3 mile ski with a 1\,900-foot gain up the Tilly Jane Ski Trail to the cabin at 5\,70 0 feet elevation. Participants carry their own gear\, including sleeping b ags\, pad\, and food for all meals. We have a wood stove for cooking or he ating water. Participants might also bring their own stove and cooking pot s. Experienced intermediate skiing skills with turning ability\, good phys ical condition and navigation/route finding skills using map\, compass or GPS. Climbing skins are REQUIRED.\n\nTrip Limit: 10 max\, Open to all ONC members and Tilly Jane volunteers (reduced capacity due to COVID)\nCost: F ree (another club benefit).
