DESCRIPTION:Trip Rating: Easy to Intermediate SkiBasecamp:&nbsp\; Sunriver\
 , ORWhen it’s time to start skiing or finish hiking—as the case may be
 —ONC does it in Sunriver.&nbsp\; This year\, we’ll include a snow danc
 e as well!&nbsp\; Eight of us will stay in a comfortable house in this res
 ort community 20 miles south of Bend\, where we will be flexible about our
  sports but definite about Thanksgiving dinner.&nbsp\; We expect to ski on
  the groomed trails at the Mt. Bachelor Nordic Center or in the back count
 ry.&nbsp\; We may hike to waterfalls or in the desert\, take a field trip 
 to the High Desert Museum\, Observatory\, Nature Center or Bend\, and the 
 house offers bicycles for use on the extensive paved trails in Sunriver.&n
 bsp\; It is a rare delight when we have snow at our doorstep.&nbsp\; We wi
 ll carpool to Sunriver and to trailheads.&nbsp\; Skiing is easy to interme
 diate\, and there are lessons and rentals available at Mt. Bachelor\, wher
 e there is a fee for the groomed trails that usually open the day after Th
 anksgiving.&nbsp\; If we go to Paulina Falls\, a Snow Park permit is requi
 red there.&nbsp\; The village at Sunriver has a supermarket\, shops and re
 staurants.&nbsp\; We will have passes to the Recreation Center\, and our h
 ouse has a hot tub.&nbsp\; Check it out (the house is Whistler #20\, new t
