SUMMARY:Thanksgiving in Sunriver\, OR—an ONC Tradition
DESCRIPTION:Nov 25-29\, 2015\, Wed–SunAll Abilities Ski &amp\; Hike &amp\
 ; EatJoin the Oregon Nordic Club for our traditional trip to launch the sk
 i season and\, in honor of global warming\, perhaps the winter hiking seas
 on\, depending upon the weather. We’ll expect that the Nordic Center wil
 l be open for most trails. We’ll hope that backcountry trails are skiabl
 e. We’ll be prepared for a multisport trip\, to include day hikes. Peopl
 e who bring bikes can cruise the paved trails at Sunriver or ride the rura
 l roads around it. We’ll continue with the traditional turkey dinner on 
 Thanksgiving.We’ll arrive Wednesday evening for a 4-night stay\, and dec
 ide each evening what people are interested in doing. We’ll organize our
 selves according to interests\, carpool to the mountain or trailheads\, an
 d share potluck dinners. Non-skiing options are cycling\, walking the bike
  paths in Sunriver\, visiting the High Desert Museum\, the bookstore\, cra
 fts fair or the observatory\, if it’s open. Skiers and hikers should bri
 ng maps and ideas. This trip has historically been relaxed\, with some fol
 ks desiring to stroll\, read\, hang out\, or catch up with each other\, as
  well as to ski. Others are ready for whichever sports present themselves.
