Odell Lake is situated at 4\,800 feet\, so there is plenty of snow plus great sc enery. We will stay in the Kokanee Lodge C and D units at Shelter Cove Res ort. \; Each unit comfortably sleeps 6 with one king room\, one queen\ , and a \; room with bunk beds. \; Beautiful views right on the sh ore of Odell Lake. \;\n\nThere are a number of good ski routes near th e Pengra ski area\, the trails to Gold Lake\, smaller trails right around Shelter Cove Resort\, and the incredible Maklaks loops. It’s possible to ski up to the Pacific Crest Trail and visit the Maiden Peak Cabin. Willam ette Pass Ski Area has 22 km of groomed XC trails as well as lift skiing\, trail fees required. We have had snow up to our hips at this resort on pa st trips on a gorgeous high mountain lake\, just three hours from Portland . \;\n\nWe will eat at a local restaurant on arrival night\, Thursday. You can also BYO dinner and use the kitchen. \; On Friday we will org anize a potluck and do the \; same for Saturday if that’s group cons ensus. There are restaurants in Oakridge on your way \,and pubs within 10 miles of the resort. Bring your own breakfast and lunch foods.
