DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, January 21We will ski the Elk Meadows trail to Newto
 n Creek\, and then ski up the woods along the creek to just before the sma
 ll vertical ridge that comes right down to the creek.  At that point we w
 ill ski in the creek bed to the Gates of the Mountain or as far as snow br
 idges and the groups wants.  We will probably return down the creek bed a
 s far as we can\, before climbing back up into the woods.  Skins are opti
 onal.6 miles round trip \, 1500 feet elevation gain +/-Contact leader for
