 laska" - Jim Kress\n\nJim Kress was born in the Alaska Territory before it
  became a state in 1959. Having driven the ALCAN numerous times with his w
 ife Jane since the 1970s\, those trips have peaked their adventuring spiri
 t every time. Whether it’s a three night stay with an Inuvialuit family 
 in Tuktoyaktuk\, the landing of a Cessna on a glacier in Denali National P
 ark\, observing First Nations children being taught carving skills on ceda
 r planks\, kayaking in a stream filled with salmon in southeast Alaska\, w
 akening to the sunrise camped on the Arctic Circle\, or just enjoying the 
 unique culture of small towns along the way. Each of these have become lif
