DESCRIPTION:Trip Rating: All Abilities Ski\nBasecamp:&nbsp\; Winthrop\, WA\
 n\nMethow Valley is an outstanding unique area\, ideally suited for both c
 lassic track skiing and skate skiing. The Methow Trails Association grooms
  over 200 kilometers of trail through the communities of Winthrop and Maza
 ma. Trail elevations range from 2000 to 4000 feet. The snow conditions and
  trail quality make the Methow Valley a skate skiers Mecca. It is the larg
 est cross-country ski trail system in North America.\n\nWe’ll stay in tw
 o houses near downtown in Winthrop\, Casa Bogart and Bella Rio. Plan for p
 otluck dinners that we prepare in the fully equipped kitchens. Restaurants
  are always an option and are within skiing or walking distance along with
  grocery and convenience stores.\n\nIf you have considered learning to ska
 te ski\, lessons are available at Sun Mountain and in Mazama. In the past\
 , several participants liked their newfound skill so much they decided to 
 keep the rented skate skis for the entire trip. Speaking of skating\, ther
 e is even an ice-skating rink close to the houses.\n\nIf online sign up (i
 n October 2021) shows the trip as full\, please join the waitlist. There a
 re almost always cancellations so chances are very good you will be able t
 o get on the trip.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nTrip limit:&nbsp\; 10 participants\, i

 odging ($60-80 groomed trail pass not included\, nor are travel costs or m
