DESCRIPTION:Trip Rating: All abilities blissful skiing on groomed trails (t
 he bliss is free)\nBasecamp:&nbsp\; Winthrop\, WA\n\nThe Methow Valley in 
 North Central Washington had the earliest and most snow ever last winter\,
  and we were not there!&nbsp\; We will now rectify that with a 5-night\, 4
 -day ski extravaganza in Winthrop.&nbsp\; We will stay at the River Run In
 n Guest House\, a lodge-like house with room for us all in non-bunk beds\,
  with an adjacent pool\, with an institutional kitchen for preparing pot l
 uck dinners\, and a large dining room for consumption thereof.&nbsp\;&nbsp
 \;\n\nThe Methow boasts 200 km of groomed trails\, sunshine\, and dry snow
  on the open valley floor and surrounding hills\, with warm rest stops for
  snacks and meeting.&nbsp\; The area now also offers 40km of snowshoe trai
 ls.&nbsp\; There is something for everyone.&nbsp\; One can take a ski less
 on\, ice skate\, rent ski equipment or a fat tire bike\, walk half a mile 
 into town for gastronomic pursuits\, perusal of art and literature\, educa
 tion at the Schoolhouse Pub\, or just soak in the hot tub.&nbsp\; We will 
 plan the next day’s activities and driving logistics at dinner. We will 
 plan to eat potluck dinners.&nbsp\; Restaurants and a supermarket are avai
 lable in town.&nbsp\;\nSee you there!\n\nTrip limit:&nbsp\; 12 participant
 s\, including trip leader\nCost: $285/member\, per person.&nbsp\; Includes
  5 nights lodging\, rooms are double occupancy and meals as described. Tra
 il passes are required (about $65/3 days) but no Sno-Park permits needed.&
 nbsp\;&nbsp\;\nCarpool miles:&nbsp\; It is an 800-mile round trip (and wor
 th the drive)\, plus excursions to trailheads\, so we will carpool.&nbsp\;
