SUMMARY:Izaak Walton Inn\, Glacier National Park\, MT
DESCRIPTION: We listened when you asked us to bring this trip back! We will
  take Amtrak to Essex\, Montana\, adjacent to Glacier National Park for a 
 wonderful New Year’s ski vacation! Leave Portland on Tuesday afternoon a
 nd arrive Wednesday morning to sparkling snow and the cozy Izaak Walton In
 n in Essex\, Montana\, located on the boundary of the spectacular Glacier 
 National Park. On Wednesday\, ski or snowshoe on the 30 km of groomed trai
 ls\, go ice-skating\, or relax in the Finnish sauna. In the evening we wil
 l participate in the included fabulous New Year’s Eve Extravaganza - Pri
 me Rib dinner\, late night appetizers\, champagne toast\, headlamp ski\, l
 ive music\, and champagne brunch the next morning. On New Year’s Day\, w
 e will work off the excesses of New Year’s Eve on more of the groomed or
  un-groomed ski trails. On Friday\, we will take a van up to Marias Pass o
 n the Continental Divide for some true off-trail skiing\, with magnificent
  views. On Saturday\, we will ski either up to the magnificent Dickey Bowl
  or other ski trails in the area. We might also be able to travel to the G
 oing to the Sun Highway\, which is not plowed in the winter. Each night\, 
 we can enjoy a gourmet meal in the restaurant\, read a good book by the fi
 re\, participate in exciting ONC board games\, ice skate\, or relax in the
  sauna. On Saturday night\, we will board the westbound train back to Port
 land. As we pull back into the train station in Portland on Sun morning\, 
 you will wonder why you waited so long to take this trip.Trip limit: 16 pa
 rticipants\, including the leader.  This trip is for all levels of X-Coun
 try skiing and snowshoeing.Cost: $580 per person\; you must be a current O
 NC member before signing up for this trip. Includes four days of skiing (t
 rail passes included)\, all transportation\, three nights lodging double o
 ccupancy at Izaak Walton Inn\, meals at Izaak Walton Inn available for an 
 additional cost. Sleeper accommodations may be available on Amtrak for abo
 ut $250 additional per person roundtrip (includes dinner and breakfast on
