DESCRIPTION:Lookout Mountain. One of the great ski destinations in the Mt H
 ood Area. Always popular and even better when snow covered. In the winter 
 this route is quite a journey\, but in spring\, when the NF44 is melted ou
 t it is far more reasonable (but still a ways). For this tour\, we’ll dr
 ive up NF44 (right next to little John SnoPark) as far as we can. Hopefull
 y we’ll get 3-4 miles in before being stopped by the snow. From there it
  is about 6-7 miles to Lookout. Most of the tour is on a road with the las
 t part through the trees. We turn around at stunning Lookout Mountain (652
 0 feet). Since this is an out-and-back\, there is the option for tired ski
