 ors of snow at Mt Hood and it is time to check this out. This tour is an o
 ut-and-back up from Government Camp to Timberline lodge. At Timberline lod
 ge we’ll have hot chocolate before zooming back down. .&nbsp\; It is not
  the most exciting tour but it is a good one to start the season off as we
  first strap these long sticks to our feet and see if we can remember how 
 to ski. Snow coverage is always somewhat iffy. We may get rained on and st
 art out walking but as we climb up we’ll certainly get good snow. The to
 ur is ~10 miles long total and we gain ~1\,800 feet. Intermediate due to d
