DESCRIPTION:Canmore\, Alberta\, CA\nMar. 22-29\, Sat-Sat + travel date\nAll
   levels skiing and snowshoeing\n\n\nThis is the Big One!  Don’t miss 
 out!  Join us for a ski expedition to the magnificent Canadian Rockies: 
  Canmore\, Banff\, Lake Louise\, and Kananaskis Country.  We have planned
  six days of glorious backcountry easy intermediate level ski touring and 
 groomed X-C trails in that region.\n\nThe group will travel by car leaving
  from Portland Friday\, March 21\, and arriving in Canmore\, Alberta\, Can
 ada\, Saturday\, March 22 with one overnight stay on the road (not include
 d in cost).\n\nWe will start our venture by spending a day skiing at the C
 anmore Nordic Center\, the site of the 1988 Winter Olympics.  Trails sele
 cted for ensuing day tours are well known in that area and include Burstal
 l Pass\, many Banff Nordic trails\, many Lake Louise Nordic trails\, and S
 mith-Dorrien trails starting from Chester Lake.  These trails can be skie
 d to whatever level of choice.  One day will be left open for sightseeing
  or yes\, more skiing!  Downhill skiing is also an option.\n\nAccommodati
 ons in Canmore entail a brand-new luxury condominium arrangement with kitc
 hen facilities and entertainment areas for dinners and socializing – as 
 well as a hot tub! Canmore is a delightfully entertaining community and wo
 rthy of at least one night “on the town.”  The return trip will begin
  early Saturday\, Mar. 29\, returning to Portland that night.\n\nA pre-tri
 p meeting will be scheduled to go over the details.  A valid passport wil
 l be required to travel to Canada.\n\nTrip limit:  10 participants\, incl
 uding leader.\nCost:  $410– less than the last time I ran this trip in 
 2017! This cost includes seven nights’ accommodations in a luxury house 
 in Canmore. Additional costs to be incurred are one or two nights of accom
 modation on the road\, meals\, shared costs for transportation\, trail fee
 s for one day at Nordic Center and shared costs for groceries to prepare m
 eals and trail lunches in Canmore. It is also possible to fly to Calgary a
 nd take a shuttle to Canmore to join the trip.\nTravel miles:  1500 miles
