 ny Lakes\; Strong beginner with ability to ski blue trails at Horseshoe Pr
 airie and Meacham Divide  \n\n\n\nCome experience the powder snow skiing 
 that everyone talks about. You have choices of groomed trails\, tele or li
 ft skiing\, backcountry or a mix. This is your chance to ski great quality
  snow! \nFor those that are interested and if the snow is good\, we will 
 ski at Meacham Divide for a couple hours on the drive over.  Meacham Divi
 de offers 20 km (~12 miles) of groomed trails\, with varying levels of dif
 ficulty\, maintained by one of our sister chapters. At 4\,100 feet in elev
 ation and views of the 1\,400-foot deep Meacham Canyon and Spout Springs R
 idgeline\,\nWe will plan on skiing at Anthony Lakes at least two days. The
  Nordic Center (7\,100 ft.) maintains 30 km (18 miles) of groomed trails w
 ith every level of difficulty.  For advanced level\, confident skiers\, t
 here’s also easy access to backcountry areas near the Lodge\, often by s
 tarting at the top of the ski lift (8\,000 ft.).  Daily trail passes for 
 the Nordic trails are $25 ages 19-69. Snowshoe pass $25. Daily lift ticket
 s for downhill are $50.  Those 70 and over are free!  I will work on pla
 nning a ski tour for the third day in the area for those interested.\nOn M
 onday on our way home\, I am planning on taking Highway 204 from Elgin and
  skiing at Horseshoe Prairie for two to three hours.  Horseshoe Prairie N
 ordic Ski Area: 16 km (10 miles) of xc skiing and snowshoeing on marked gr
 oomed and non-groomed trails within the Umatilla National Forest.  At an 
 elevation between 5\,100’ and 5\,300’ the area regularly receives annu
 al snow depths in excess of 4’.  The area is bordered on the north by t
 he North Fork Umatilla Wilderness.  The trails at Horseshoe Prairie Nordi
 c Ski Area provide a range of intermediate experiences in terrain and snow
  landscapes.\nWe will carpool over and split up the meal preparation for d
 inners. Everyone will be responsible for their own lunches and breakfast.
   If interested\, we will have one dinner in Baker City during our stay.
   The lodge at Anthony Lakes does have food and drink service.\nWe will b
 e staying at The Wunder House in Baker City - approximately 55-75 minute d
 rive each way to our daily ski destinations. Amenities include a hot tub a
 nd a massage chair to pamper those tender muscles after a fun-filled day o
 f skiing!  The main house is a very comfortable and a well-equipped 3\,40
 0 sq ft home\, perfect for our group to relax and socialize\; it has five 
 bedrooms and three baths.  Bedding and towels are provided.\n\n\n\nTrip l
 imit:  11 participants\, including the trip leaderCost:  $285/member\, p
 er person. Excludes cost of travel\, any ski passes and meals.Carpool mile
 s:  600 miles round trip to Baker City plus mileage to/from our daily ski
